Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) board member Dr. Kofi Amoah will head a four-member normalisation committee, which will steer the affairs of Ghana football for the next six months.

The other members are Lucy Quist, former chief executive of the Airtel Ghana as vice-president, Dua Adonten, a former Asante Kotoko board member and director general of Ghana Post, and Naa Odofoley Nortey, a lawyer.

FIFA says it will communicate any additional members of the committee who will run Ghana football up to 31 March, 2019 in due course.

The normalisation committee was put in place by FIFA after it dissolved the executive committee of the GFA following allegations of bribery and corruption involving several officials in a documentary by investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

Luca Nicola, FIFA’s Manager of Member Associations, said core responsibilities of the normalisation committee will be three-fold.

“Their main task will be to run the affairs of the GFA and act in place of the executive committee. They will also be required to review the statutes of the of the GFA to ensure it falls in line with FIFA standards and conduct new elections for a new executive committee of the GFA,” Nicola told the media in Accra on Thursday.
